Chapter Five

Less than a half an hour later, Christian pulled into his driveway and led her into his apartment. His hand captured hers and squeezed gently. That small gesture did the weirdest things to her insides. She sucked in a breath and closed her eyes for a brief moment as an invisible band tightened around her heart.

Oh boy!

Gorgeous blue eyes locked on hers, and she began to question her intelligence, sensing she’d gotten herself in way over her head. Her skin prickled in warning. Her mind raced as her pulse pounded in her neck. Maybe she should have just kept this relationship platonic, because the way he’d pleasured her earlier, tapping into her fetishes to make it good for her, combined with the way he was touching her now, played havoc with her emotions. He must have sensed the shift in her. He stilled and hauled her in tighter; his gaze scanned her face. “Are you okay?” The soft cadence of her voice really got to her and the need in his eyes touched her soul.

Her glance roamed over his face in return, visually caressing him. She bit back a breathy moan as desire to have him now, tomorrow and forever slammed into her. Oh God, she wanted him so much it scared her. Jesus, what the hell had she gone and done? She pushed those thoughts to the far corner of her mind, determined to make every moment with Christian count. She conjured a smile. “Perfect,” she murmured, striving for normalcy.

He smiled and the gleam in his eyes held all sorts of promise. “Good.” He slipped his arm around her waist and ushered her down the hall. Once inside the bathroom, he turned on the hot spray and glanced at her. His eyes softened and filled with pure adoration as they perused her face. He let out a slow breath. “You’re so beautiful, Taylor.”

Their mouths met for a soul-searching kiss. As his lips teased hers open, warmth spread over her skin. Their tongues joined and tangled, both taking and giving in tandem. His hands roamed her body, introducing himself to her slowly this time, as he gently removed her clothes. Emotions and sensations ripped through her.

“God, I want you so much,” he whispered into her mouth and feathered the back of his fingers over her cheek.

His words played some mysterious alchemy with her senses and she shivered under his touch. She worked to find her voice. “I want you too, Christian.”

Her admission brought a smile to his face. With that he tore off his own clothes and pulled her into the shower. The hot water felt glorious against her naked body, but not nearly as glorious as his calloused hands felt.

Gaze locked on hers, he soaped his hands and eased her knees apart. He lightly brushed soothing fingers over her pussy and sent her a look of intimacy and promise. “Are you sore?”

The concern in his eyes and his light caresses became her undoing.
